This programme is available to organisations registered as a charity, not-for-profit or community interest company. That includes:

Churches, synagogues, mosques, temples and other religious community venues.

We verify all applications using your registered charity or not-for-profit number. One complimentary subscription per organisation.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really free?
Yes. Eligible charities and not-for-profits receive a full Melodial subscription at no cost, with no trial, no expiry and no hidden fees.
Do we still need a licence from a collecting society?
Not for music played through Melodial. We own or directly licence every track, so no collecting society fees apply. If you also play music from other sources such as radio, streaming services or CDs, you would still need a separate licence for that usage.
What kind of music do you have?
Over 50 playlists across 24 genres, including ambient, classical, jazz, easy listening, pop and lo-fi. All tracks are clean with no explicit lyrics, making them suitable for any environment.
Can we play music in multiple rooms?
Yes, if it's the same music throughout, reception, activity rooms, common areas, outdoor spaces, one subscription covers it as a single stream. If you want different music playing in different rooms at the same time, that needs Melodial Plus. Let us know in your application and we'll talk you through the options for your organisation.
How do we play the music?
Use the Melodial app on a phone, tablet or computer. Connect to your speakers via Bluetooth, AUX cable or Chromecast. You can also stream through any web browser at app.melodial.com.
We have multiple locations. Can we get more than one subscription?
Yes. Just let us know in your application and each location receives its own subscription.
