Where to find announcements
In the app
Tap the person icon at the top right, then Ads.
In the web player
Click Ads in the menu on the left. The Ads studio has a Create tab and a list of your announcements.
Create an announcement
Styles, languages and monthly allowances
The style follows the language your app is set to: fully produced announcements are available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Polish, while in Portuguese and Czech you pick a voice from the cards. Each month you can generate 20 previews and save 10 announcements with a voice, and generate 10 previews and save 5 fully produced ones. The counter under the button shows what is left and when it resets.
Keep announcements short and occasional. One every few tracks is plenty to promote a special or welcome guests without interrupting the atmosphere.
Where announcements play
Announcements play in every list you play, radio stations included, at the frequency you set. They appear in the track list at the position they will play, so you can see what is coming.
Running more than one announcement
You can have several announcements active at once. They take turns in the order you created them. You can edit an announcement’s title or frequency at any time, but changing the script, the style or the voice means deleting it and creating a new one. To pause an announcement without deleting it, set its frequency to Off.
Announcements for several locations
On Melodial Plus, announcements the admin account creates play at every location. Announcements a location creates play only at that location. See the Melodial Plus guide for how to give a location its own announcement without letting staff change it.
