If you are a Melodial subscriber, do not worry. All our music is pre-cleared for public performance, so you do not need a separate licence from PPL PRS, OneMusic, or similar organisations. Yes. Melodial is officially available in the Sonos app, so you can add it as one of your music services and stream straight to your Sonos speakers alongside your other sources.

You need an internet connection to log into our mobile app, but then you can download tracks and play them offline. You will need to log in again from time to time to refresh your access.

No. Our music is fully owned and created for commercial use, so you are safe from copyright claims and public performance licensing fees. We can issue you a Certificate of Compliance to show anyone asking about a music licence.

There are no ads. We understand that you do not want an advert for someone else's business playing in your space.

The music played on Melodial is all produced or directly licensed by Melodial. We own the music rights and we grant you permission to play our music without paying for a public performance licence.

Switching to Melodial does not resolve past infringements. If a licensing organisation has evidence that you played unlicensed music before you subscribed, they may still pursue payment for that period. Our advice: ask for the specific date, time, and what music was identified, consider negotiating, and seek advice if the amount is significant. Going forward, your Melodial subscription keeps you fully compliant.

You have two options. You can register a second Melodial Basic subscription under a different email address, with each zone billed and managed separately, or move up to Melodial Plus, which manages every zone under one account with centralized admin and permissions.
