“Your subscription has ended. Tracks play one at a time.”
This red banner means your subscription or free trial has finished. You can still sign in and listen, but each track stops at its end instead of moving on to the next, so the music no longer runs on its own.
If you have already paid and still see the banner, email support@melodial.com with the email you use for Melodial and we will check the account on our side.
“Admin login: tracks play one at a time”
With several locations on one account, on Basic or Plus, the admin account is for managing locations, playlists, ads and schedules, not for playing music all day. It can preview any track, one at a time. Each location plays music on its own login. If you are trying to play music at a location, sign in with that location’s email address instead.
Music buffering or cutting out on WiFi
Melodial streams at 128kbps, roughly 1MB per minute or about 60MB per hour. Most WiFi handles this easily, so buffering is usually a signal strength issue.
Music stops when I lock my phone
Background playback is supported on both iOS and Android, so this is almost always a battery-optimisation setting getting in the way, not a bug.
Playing, but no sound
If the player shows a track playing and you hear nothing, check where the sound is going. A Bluetooth speaker or AirPlay device that has dropped off the connection can leave the phone playing silently. Reconnect the speaker, or turn Bluetooth off and on, then press play again.
Canceling your subscription
Cancel any time from your account page on melodial.com. Access continues until the end of your current billing period, so you keep playing the music you have already paid for.
Good to know
Your license covers you internationally, wherever your business plays Melodial. For reference, an 8-hour business day uses roughly 480MB of data.
In practice it is often less than that. The app downloads the tracks you play so it is not re-streaming the same track every time it repeats (Download songs automatically in the app’s Settings, and Cache songs on this device in the web player’s). Turn it off if you would rather it always streams fresh.
